Keepsake helps families write stories together and print them as hardcover books. Unlike memoir tools that email one person a weekly question, Keepsake lets the whole family write together with unlimited collaborators, guided questions and photos. New in v2: a fresh look, one dashboard for all your books, colour-coded project pages, finish dates and a smoother path to print.
We're Sasha and Rob, a tiny team of two based in Meanjin/Brisbane, and we're back with the biggest update we've ever made to Keepsake.
Since launching, we've been listening closely to our customers and putting the platform through its paces. Everything we learned pointed to the same thing: we wanted the experience to feel even smoother and more joyful to use. So, in classic Rob fashion, he rebuilt Keepsake from the dashboard up.
Why Keepsake? Life stories are rarely told by just one person. Grandma remembers the wedding one way, and her sister remembers it completely differently. Everyone holds a different piece of the story, and bringing those perspectives together is what gives you the full picture.
That's why we built Keepsake for writing together. Many of our users have invited their children, siblings and grandkids to add their own stories, and it doesn't stop at family. Old school mates, workmates and lifelong friends have jumped in too, sharing memories of Dad or Mum that even their own kids had never heard. The result is a richer, more compelling book, and a true joint effort.
What's new ✨ 📚 A brand new dashboard. All your books in one place, with your print credits and subscription right there too (no more digging through settings!) 🎨 Project pages. Each project page now takes on your book’s colour palette, so they’re much easier to tell apart, and you can see how each book is tracking at a glance: stories, drafts, word count and photos 📅 Target finish dates. Perfect if you're working towards a birthday, an anniversary or a family get-together ✍️ A smoother writing space. Your question queue now lives right alongside your entries, and you can search, filter or hit Start Writing to jump straight in 📖 Your book, front and centre. See your cover and theme on the project page, and manage your print settings without leaving the project
There are also plenty of smaller improvements tucked in throughout (plus some incredibly smooth and fun animations, thanks Rob!), including Volume support, colourising and restoring images, version history, an Orders tab and a brand new onboarding experience.
