Jubilq
Nigerian event discovery, ticketing and connect with people
Find pool parties, club nights, and social gatherings happening right around you in Nigeria. View live map drops and reserve your spot instantly. Jubilq also supports event planning, external event discovery, People matching for finding someone to go out with, and a developer API for partners who want to integrate event listings and ticket checkout into their own apps or websites. Its goal is to make discovering, hosting, promoting, and attending events in Nigeria simple, trusted, and social.
I built Jubilq because discovering events in Nigeria still feels too scattered.
A lot of great events live only on WhatsApp status, Instagram flyers, Telegram groups, or word of mouth. If you are not already in the right circle, you may never know what is happening around you. At the same time, many hosts still sell tickets manually, which makes promotion, payment, and ticket verification harder than it should be.
Jubilq started as a simple event discovery idea, but it evolved into a fuller platform for both sides of the market: users can find events by town and state, buy verified QR tickets, and find someone to attend with through People; hosts can create events, upload flyers, sell tickets, promote events with Spotlight, and manage attendees.
The main thing I learned while building this is that events are not just listings or payments. They are social, local, visual, and trust-based. So the product had to become more than a ticketing app. It had to feel like a local event layer for Nigeria.
One thing I'd love to see is a "going solo" badge or filter for events, so people who don't have a plus-one can find other attendees open to linking up beforehand. Would make the matching feature feel way less awkward to use.
Love that you added people matching for finding a plus one, that part is genuinely useful. One thing I'd love to see is a small safety layer like attendee verification badges or a report button right inside chat, so it feels safer meeting up with someone new from the app.
