I'm a solo Android developer in Japan. I built Japan Walk Nomad because I wanted a walking app that actually felt rewarding: your real daily steps move you along a route from Cape Soya (the northernmost point of Japan) to Shuri Castle in Okinawa.
Along the way you pass real landmarks, ferries and bridges, collect badges, and get comments from an original AI companion character. There's also a nationwide conquest map that fills in as you "visit" all 1,854 municipalities of Japan.
It's free to walk around Hokkaido, with a one-time purchase to unlock the full national route.
