Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built IronFuel because I got tired of running two apps that ignored each other. A lifting app on one home screen, a calorie app on the other. I'd finish a heavy leg session, burn a few hundred extra calories, and the food app would show me the same target it showed on a rest day. So I'd guess, usually low, on exactly the days it mattered.
IronFuel joins the two. You log sets in about three taps, or you say "incline dumbbell press 3 by 10 at 27.5" and it fills the logger for a one-tap confirm. You photograph a plate to get calories and macros. Then, when you finish a session, the day's calorie and protein target moves — 2,540 kcal and 165 g on the leg day in the screenshots — and it tells you the protein you still owe and offers to log the meal that covers it.
Two decisions I want to be upfront about.
The photo scan returns a range with a confidence read instead of a single confident-looking number. A photo cannot know that a chicken breast weighed 180 g, and every scanner that pretends otherwise is guessing at you rather than with you. Every item stays editable, and barcode scanning is there for when you want the exact figure.
Workout logging, full history and barcode scanning are free and unlimited, and they stay that way. The free tier also gets five AI photo scans a day and a daily voice-logging allowance. Pro ($6.99/month, $39.99/year with a 7-day trial) lifts the AI caps and adds plan generation, the weekly training-and-nutrition review, and coach chat answered from your own logs.
It's iPhone only right now. Android is in progress and Apple Watch is the one after that.
What I'd most like to hear: when you finish a session, does the number it moves to look right to you? I'd much rather be told the math is off than told the screens look nice. Reply here or write to [email protected] — I read everything.
