Teachers rarely have the freedom to choose their own classroom management tools — these decisions are made at the school level. As a result, they're forced to use chaotic and overwhelming platforms like PowerSchool that weren't really designed with them in mind.
My response to this problem is simple: a focused set of free features built for teachers, not for administrators.
The primary focus of the application is to help teachers efficiently manage units, lessons, and students within their classroom environment. In the future, the platform will enable educators to share their calendars with parents, administrators, and fellow teachers, as well as enable seamless collaboration among teachers within a single classroom.
What Inlay Offers Teachers:
Streamlined Curriculum Planning – Teachers can instantly create units and lessons, which are automatically organised within the calendar and immediately reflected in the timetable, saving valuable planning time.
Student Management Tools – Each student has a dedicated account that allows teachers to record notes, assign tasks, and monitor student wellbeing through a mood tracker. *Please note that this feature is currently under active development.
Parent Communication Portal – A dedicated portal gives parents visibility into their child's progress and daily classroom activities. This feature is in its early stages and will continue to be expanded and refined.
Basic plan with one classroom will be free forever. For paying customers, up to 5 classrooms.

Inlay was hunted by Ghost Kitty. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
