Extract text from screenshots, photos, scanned documents, book pages, presentations and Instagram carousels without leaving Telegram. Simply send an image or paste an Instagram carousel link to get clean, editable text in seconds. No extra apps, no registration and no unnecessary steps.
Hi everyone! 👋
Thanks for checking out ImgTxtApp!
I built ImgTxtApp to make extracting text from images as simple as sending a message in Telegram.
A large part of my day already happens inside Telegram. It's where I work, save links, collect ideas and organize information.
I kept running into the same workflow over and over again. Whenever I needed text from a screenshot, photo, document or Instagram carousel, I had to open another app, upload the image, copy the result and then move that text somewhere else.
After doing this enough times, I decided to build a simpler solution.
Today I mostly use ImgTextApp to batch-process screenshots, book pages and Instagram carousels. I send everything to the bot, get clean editable text back in seconds and move the useful parts into my notes (which, honestly, are mostly Google Sheets 😄).
One of my favorite use cases is Instagram carousels. They're often full of useful frameworks, checklists and ideas, but they're surprisingly hard to reuse. Now I can simply send screenshots or even the carousel link to the bot and immediately have editable text ready for use.
I'd love to hear your feedback and ideas for improving the product. Thanks for checking it out!
Finally tried this on a cluttered Instagram carousel and it pulled the text out cleanly in seconds. Love that there's no signup, just send the image and go.
Really handy for grabbing text from Instagram carousels without screenshotting each slide. The bot replied in seconds and the formatting came out clean enough to paste straight into a doc.
A feature that would be great: support for batch uploads so you can send a whole folder of screenshots at once and get the text back as a single document. Right now sending them one by one works but it's tedious when you need to OCR an entire chapter or a long article.
How does it actually handle handwriting versus typed text, and is there any limit on how many images you can process per day before they start charging?
