Hi everyone,
I built HourLog because I was frustrated with how complicated most time tracking tools have become.
I only needed a few things: track hours, calculate overtime, and understand how much I’m actually earning. But most apps either felt too basic or overloaded with features I didn’t need.
So I decided to build something simpler and more focused.
A few things I cared about:
fast and clean UI
no account required
works offline
accurate overtime and pay tracking
easy export for real-world use (CSV, PDF, Excel)
I also went with a local-first approach (SwiftUI + SwiftData + iCloud sync) to avoid backend complexity and keep everything predictable.
