HomeRepairCalc
Estimate home repair costs before hiring a contractor
HomeRepairCalc gives homeowners practical cost ranges for common repairs before they call a contractor. Estimate plumbing, drywall, roof, electrical, and painting jobs, then read simple guides explaining what changes the price, when DIY is risky, and when to bring in a pro.
I built HomeRepairCalc to solve a simple problem: most homeowners have no idea whether a repair quote sounds normal, too high, or risky to DIY.
The site gives practical cost ranges for common home repairs before you call a contractor, plumbing, drywall, roof repair, electrical work, and painting.
It is not meant to replace a real professional quote. It is meant to help homeowners understand the rough range, what changes the price, and when a repair should move from “maybe DIY” to “call a pro.”
What you can do today:
- Estimate common home repair costs - Compare repair types by room or project - Understand when DIY is risky - Read plain English repair cost guides
I’m especially looking for feedback on two things:
Are the estimators easy enough for a normal homeowner? What repair category should I add next?
Thanks for checking it out, I’d love your honest feedback.HomeRepairCalc
