Hi,
HeyDo started as a hobby project around a simple problem I noticed in everyday life. Small but important requests between friends and family can easily get lost in chat conversations.
We often send messages like “don’t forget to bring this,” “please pick this up on your way home,” or “can you do this tomorrow?” A few messages later, that request is buried in the conversation and sometimes forgotten.
That’s where the idea for HeyDo came from. Rather than building another messaging app, I wanted to give these reminders and requests their own place.
With HeyDo, you can send a reminder directly to a friend or family member, send it immediately or schedule it for later, and see when it has been acknowledged or completed. Reminders can also include checklists and their own discussion, so everything related to that request stays together.
This is the first release of HeyDo, and I’ve intentionally kept the initial experience simple and focused. I already have more ideas and improvements in mind, but I also want future versions to be shaped by how people actually use the app and what they find useful.
