HeroTask: Gamified chores that teach kids self-discipline & responsibility. Created by a dad to train his own children, with safety first - no user accounts, no data collection, just Bluetooth pairing between parent & child devices to avoid misuse. Packed with features: custom tasks, reward shop, streaks, chore battles. iOS & Android. Let’s raise independent kids!
Hey Product Hunt! I’m the creator of HeroTask. I built this app primarily to teach my own children self-discipline and responsibility. The development took a long time because I kept running into challenges and invested a huge amount of effort into making every feature as convenient as possible for both parents and kids. The app is packed with features - custom tasks with photos and schedules, a reward shop, streaks, chore battles, and much more (check the full feature list on our site).
One thing I’m especially proud of is the safety approach. We don’t collect any sensitive user data, and the connection between a parent’s and a child’s device is done purely via Bluetooth. This ensures that no stranger can exploit the app to connect to your child remotely - a scenario I wanted to avoid at all costs.
My long-term plan is to build a whole ecosystem that helps children become more independent and responsible. HeroTask is just the first step. It works on both iOS and Android.
I’d be super grateful for your thoughts, questions, and support! Let’s raise self-disciplined little heroes together.
Gamified chores sound effective until the novelty disappears. What keeps children engaged after the first few weeks?
Love that this has zero accounts and just Bluetooth pairing, that alone makes me feel better about letting my kid use it. One thing that would really help our family though is a shared calendar or reminder view for the parent, so I can see at a glance which chores are coming up this week across all my kids without digging through each profile.
