Most safety apps need you to press a button in an emergency, but what if you can't? Herline checks in on you automatically. If you don't respond, your emergency contact gets an SMS alert. No panic button. No remembering to text when you're home. A 10-minute grace period prevents false alarms. Free to use, Apple Watch supported, built by a solo female founder who needed it herself.

I built Herline because as an only child, I was constantly texting my mum every time I got home late just so she wouldn't lie awake worrying. One night I forgot, and she panicked. I thought, there has to be something that does this automatically. Not only that but my head was constantly on a swivel when I would go out especially in the night. I looked for an app that would quietly check in on me and alert someone if I didn't respond. I couldn't find one that was simple, free, and actually worked in the background without me having to remember anything. So I built it myself. Herline is the app I wished existed every time I walked home alone at night. The App Store link is in my profile, would love for you to try it and tell me what you think

nice but i cant find the website for more information on how it works... does it not have a website?

The automatic check-ins feel so much more practical than remembering to tap something, and the 10 minute grace period is a smart touch for avoiding awkward false alarms.

The automatic check-in idea is genuinely clever, but the 10-minute grace period is what really sells it. It shows you've actually thought through the messy reality of how people use these things, not just the fear-based marketing version.
