Hi Product Hunt 👋 We built HappyCohort because we wanted to know what emails my competitors were actually sending, and our only options were forwarding myself their newsletters into a folder I never opened. What it does: You point it at a set of brands. It breaks the email down into ~165 fields: the offer (percent off, GWP, free shipping, threshold), the theme, the copy voice, the CTAs, the creative format, whether there are faces in the imagery, discount codes baked into banners, send timing, and more. Then it benchmarks your brand against the set. A few things you can do with that: * Calendar - see who's sending what, when. Spot the Friday discount cadence, the pre-holiday ramp. * Offers - every promotion in the set, sorted by depth. Answer "is 20% off actually competitive in my category, or is everyone at 30?" * Angle Explorer - the long-tail themes and hooks competitors lean on, ranked by how much email volume backs each one. We genuinely like to hear which competitive question you'd want answered that it can't yet. Reply here and I'll dig into it.

Finally got around to testing this and the theme tagging is surprisingly sharp. Loved seeing my own subject lines stacked against three competitors in one view.

Would love to see a Slack alert when a tracked competitor suddenly shifts theme or launches a new offer angle, that kind of real-time ping would make the benchmarking feel way more actionable than waiting to check the dashboard.

The angle-by-angle breakdown is genuinely useful, especially being able to see discount cadence mapped out across competitors rather than just a dump of emails.

Being able to filter by industry or company size would make the benchmarks way more useful since right now it feels like comparing a DTC skincare brand to a B2B SaaS company. Adding a tagging system or segmentation layer would help narrow the comparisons to actually relevant peers and make the whitespace insights much sharper.
