Grasp News
Factual news summaries no clickbait, narrative, or paywalls.
Grasp is a fast, clean AI news aggregator. It pulls your feeds, scrapes full articles, and distills them into scannable context and facts. Includes auto-discovery, paywall detection, offline mode, and daily digests. No clutter, just the facts.
I built Grasp because I was tired of trying to stay informed while dodging cookie banners, paywalls, autoplay videos, and heavily biased articles. I wanted a peaceful corner of the internet where I could read the facts and nothing else.
Tried it on a handful of RSS feeds and the distilled cards actually held up - the key facts landed without the usual click-out scavenger hunt. Offline mode worked on a flight, which sealed it for me.
would love a podcast mode that turns my morning digest into a short audio brief for the commute, would make it way easier to keep up without staring at a screen
Finally gave it a spin and the paywall detection actually caught a WSJ piece I almost clicked into. Daily digest is a nice touch for keeping up without doomscrolling all morning.
Finally something that skips the clickbait and gets straight to the facts. The offline mode is a nice touch for my commute.
How does the paywall detection actually work, does it tell me before I click or just flag it after I hit the wall?
Finally something that just shows me the news without all the homepage clutter. The paywall detection caught me off guard in a good way, saved me from clicking into a few traps.
