I'm not a developer. I work in sales. But I'm obsessed with hiking and city walking, and I couldn't find a single Android app that both records GPS tracks and lets you edit them afterwards. So I built one myself.
GPxplore stores everything as standard GPX files in a folder you choose. No account, no cloud, no subscription. It works with any GPX file from any app or device.
It started as a personal tool and grew from there. Fog of war, heatmap, elevation correction, recording presets, a full track editor. Most of what's in it came from people telling me what was missing.
