I didn’t start Closer AI because I wanted to build another AI tool.
I built it because I kept seeing the same frustrating pattern—freelancers with real skill losing deals they should have won.
For a long time, I assumed the problem was the same as everyone says:
“You need better proposals.”
So I did what most freelancers do.
I rewrote proposals. Studied templates. Followed every “Upwork winning strategy” I could find.
But the results didn’t change.
Clients would respond. Conversations would start.
And then… deals would quietly fall apart.
No clear rejection. No obvious mistake. Just lost opportunities.
That’s when I realized:
