Glasshand gives your AI agents real iPhones and Macs to work on. Connect Claude Code, Codex, or any other agent, and it can rent a device with a single prompt. The hardware sits in our data center, and your agent uses it the way you would: posting on TikTok, booking an Uber, or building and testing iOS apps. Each device is yours alone for as long as you rent it. When you’re done, we erase your data and factory-reset it.
We’re the team behind Solid, from MIT, Berkeley, and Waterloo. We’ve raised $6M to build toward one goal: agents with human-level autonomy.
Agents are already smart enough for most of what you’d ask them to do, but a simple task on a phone can still leave yours waiting for you to open an app and tap a few buttons.
So we built Glasshand to give your agent hands of its own: real iPhones and Macs in our data center, not emulators or virtual machines. Now your agent can use Apple apps and services, including iCloud.
That puts your agent inside the Apple ecosystem, with access to Apple’s apps and services. It can develop iOS apps on a Mac and test them on a physical iPhone, book rides on Uber, post on TikTok and Instagram, or sign in to your iCloud account and use it the way you would.
Because these are real iPhones, you can even add an eSIM plan with SMS and mobile data. That gives your agent its own phone number and cellular connection, so it can get verification codes on its iPhone without waiting for you to pass them along.
Glasshand works with any agent. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or whatever you already use can rent an iPhone and a Mac from our platform through our API.
Each device starts clean and is only yours for the length of your subscription. You set the password yourself, and we can’t see it. When you’re done, we erase your data and factory-reset the device.
@tkeith i love this. I'm currently piecing together a bunch of old machines, but this would be a much better solution. I look forward to checking it out.
Love this, giving it its own eSIM for verification codes is clever. How does the agent actually drive the phone? Screenshots and taps or the accessibility tree?
The eSIM part surprised me most. Which countries can the number be from? I'm asking because some services get picky when the number and the account are from different countries.
Congrats on the launch!
Can you share a photo of the devices set up in racks - very interesting business model for sure.
Curious how the agent actually sees the phone - does it get screenshots to reason over, or a structured view of the screen?
Interesting angle: real devices instead of emulators. As someone who juggles several Apple IDs and Google accounts across companies, I'm curious how you handle sign-in friction on a rented device, e.g. 2FA prompts to the owner's phone and Activation Lock/Find My when the device is reset between renters. Is that part of the reset flow you described?
One month with a Mac sounds about right for finding out if I'll actually finish my iOS side project.
Renting a real phone for an afternoon to book an Uber through an agent is such a different proposition from simulating taps, and the factory reset at the end is the part that makes me comfortable with it.
so is this like using one icloud in 2 device one will be used by agent and I will use it the same time ? you said we can add eSim a new number or the same will be used ? if I want the agent to reply to my contacts same number is better but how is that possible - just curious to know
Congrats! And I guess your glasshand is agile and featherlight, isn’t it? Haha
Congrats on the launch! One quick question, what happens when I switch between agents? Can Codex pick up on the same phone I was using with Claude Code?
I'd send the iPhone a push notification for order 123 and have the agent tap it. I want to see if it opens that order or dumps me on the home screen.
I'd let it get an Instagram carousel into drafts. I still want to pick the cover and write the caption myself.
Testing on a physical iPhone is an interesting use of this. Keeping the device model and OS version with each test result would make a reported UI bug easier to reproduce later.
If TikTok release can truly be achieved, it would be very helpful. their robot review is very strict. nice product
Congrats Glasshand team!! This looks super interesting 👀 How long does it take from dropping the prompt into Claude Code to actually seeing it on the iPhone home screen?
If I leave a TikTok draft on the rented phone, will it still be there when I come back on Friday?
