GigNGo
Hire local help or earn with odd jobs — no lead fees
GigNGo is a no-lead-fee local services marketplace. Post a task free and compare offers from nearby locals — or do the work and keep 100% of what you earn (no lead fees, no commission, unlike Thumbtack or Angi). 30 home-service categories, all 50 US states. We publish our marketplace data openly: real cost guides (gigngo.org/costs), what locals earn per job (gigngo.org/earnings), and a public API + MCP server so AI assistants can search jobs and workers directly (gigngo.org/mcp).
Hi Product Hunt — I'm Cam, the founder. I built GigNGo after watching local workers pay $25-$60 per lead on the big platforms just for the chance to quote a job. On GigNGo, posting a task is free and applying is free; locals keep everything they earn.
Two things this community might especially like:
1. We publish our marketplace data — real medians from real posted jobs, not estimates: gigngo.org/costs and gigngo.org/earnings.
2. We shipped a public MCP server, so AI assistants can query open jobs and local workers directly: gigngo.org/mcp (docs: github.com/CameronSoccer/gigngo-mcp-server).
Ask me anything — including the hard questions about competing with Thumbtack. I'll be here all day.
Congrats on the launch, the story behind it really resonates. One thing that would help small contractors like the pressure washing biz you started is a built-in scheduling or booking calendar so clients can pick a time slot directly from the profile instead of going back and forth over messages.
honestly the Facebook groups comparison hits home, that's basically how i found my handyman for years. one thing that would actually help contractors like me back then would be a built-in review system with photos from past jobs, kind of like how uber shows trip history. helps build trust fast when you're trying to win someone over who's never heard of you before
Would love to see a built-in scheduling or booking tool right on the profile. A lot of contractors I know waste tons of time texting back and forth to set up jobs, so having clients pick a time slot directly would save everyone a headache and make the platform stickier.

Who hunted GigNGo?
GigNGo was hunted by GigNGo. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
