I kept losing time switching between different apps just to get from a raw file to a real answer. One tool for cleaning, another for charts, another just to answer a simple question about the data. If that's painful for someone who works with data all the time, it's basically impossible for someone who doesn't.
Early on I also found a bug in my own first version. It was silently only computing off the first ~1,000 rows of a big file and showing that as the real answer, no warning at all. That pushed me to rebuild the querying layer to run full SQL against the entire dataset in the browser using DuckDB, so nothing gets sampled or capped.
GetDataFlux is the result. Upload a CSV, Excel, or Parquet file and it handles the cleaning, builds dashboards, and lets you ask questions about your data in plain English. No SQL or BI background needed.
