would love to see a built-in template library for different genres, like RPGs or roguelikes, so you can start with a structure that actually fits what you're making instead of a blank doc every time
Hey everyone! I'm camyesili, the solo dev behind GDDKit.
The idea came from my own frustration, every time I started a new game project, my design notes ended up scattered across Notion, Discord, and random sticky notes. Nothing was built specifically for game design documents, so I built it myself.
Launched on itch.io last week with zero marketing. The Reddit post hit 20k views organically in 24 hours, and the first sale came 2 hours after launch, hands were literally shaking
User feedback came fast. First day someone asked about Linux support, someone else asked about Mac. So I rebuilt the entire UI from WPF to Avalonia and shipped v2.0 four days later, now fully cross-platform.
Happy to answer any questions about the app or the building process!

GDDKit was hunted by Cam Yesili. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
