I built Gap-trip because choosing a place was never the end of the search. After picking somewhere, I still checked the weather, transit, crowds, and whether there was a restroom nearby.
Gap-trip starts with the time you have and how you want to travel. Pick a place and it keeps the practical checks around that destination. Crowd levels are labeled live only when the data comes from an official source.
If you try it while you are in Korea, tell me what made you open another app. That is what I want to fix next.
Hopefully this will make managing my trips to Korea easier, as you know google maps is not the best there.
would love to see a saved history of trips so i can revisit the spots i picked last time
Finally an app that just tells me where i can actually go in 30 minutes instead of leaving me staring at a map forever. The live crowd data is genuinely useful, especially around the busier areas of seoul.
Would love a way to save my favorite routes and get a quick notification when crowd levels drop at a spot I liked. Right now if I find a good 30-minute place in the evening, I have to remember to check again later.
love that the time presets are so quick to toggle. the map redraw feels instant when you switch between 30, 60, and 90 minutes, which makes deciding on a spot way less of a chore.
