I built FuelForm because I've never been good at logging food consistently.
If a calorie tracker got an entry wrong, correcting it felt like more admin, so I would leave it. A few missed entries later, I would stop tracking altogether.
I wanted logging to feel closer to sending a message than filling out a database. With FuelForm, you can type what you ate, say it out loud, take a photo, or scan a barcode. The AI gives you a nutrition estimate, but it doesn't pretend to know more than it does. You can review the ingredients, change the portions, and correct every number before saving it.
The other thing I kept coming back to is motivation. Most health apps reward consistency with badges and streaks, and I've never found those enough to keep me going. So FuelForm has a Store: consistent logging earns points, and those points unlock discounts on nutrition and fitness products you'd actually use. The habit gets you something real, not just another number on a screen. It's early, and I'm curious whether people find it useful or gimmicky.
I built the app myself over six months. The prototype was the quick part. Turning it into a real iPhone and iPad app meant learning the less glamorous parts too: accounts, syncing, subscriptions, Apple Health, privacy, App Store review, and a lot of edge cases.
FuelForm is now live on the App Store. I'd love feedback, especially from anyone who has tried calorie tracking before and stopped.
