Hi everyone! I’m the developer of ForgePlay.
ForgePlay is an open-source, Wine-based Windows game runner for Apple Silicon Macs. Beyond getting Windows games running, I’ve added macOS Game Mode integration and a frame-generation feature I implemented separately for ForgePlay
Frame generation works at the app level, rather than depending on a game’s built-in frame-generation support. The goal is not simply a higher FPS counter, but a smoother experience in actual gameplay.
Compatibility and results vary by game and hardware, so your real-world feedback matters. Share what works, what breaks, and what needs improvement. For issues, please include the game name, your Mac model, and what happened.
