0.2.0 makes the AI free to try: 100 actions a month, no API key and no setup. Before this you had to bring your own Anthropic key before you could see what it did, and most people never got that far. The CLI now embeds a JS engine and the same pm shim as the app, so collections that authenticate through a pre-request script finally run in CI instead of being skipped with a warning. Three assertion engines that had drifted apart are now one. Still Tauri, not Electron. Still open source.

I launched Flux here two months ago with a problem I had built in myself: the AI features needed you to go get an Anthropic key, paste it into settings, and only then could you see what they did. Most people never got past step one. Fair enough. 0.2.0 removes that step. Sign in and you get 100 AI actions a month, 20 a day, no key and no setup. Point it at a failing endpoint and it writes the assertions, explains the 4xx, or fixes the broken test. Being straight about how that works, because you would ask anyway: free-tier prompts go through a small proxy of ours that checks your quota and forwards the call with our key. Your prompt, including any response body you are debugging, passes through our server. If that is not acceptable for what you work on, add your own key: nothing is relayed, calls go straight from your machine to Anthropic, and every limit disappears. Both modes ship in the app, one toggle apart. I am not putting a shared key inside the binary, since it would be extracted from the first download. The other half of 0.2.0 is CI. The Flux CLI now embeds a JS engine and the same `pm` shim the app uses, so a collection that authenticates through a pre-request script actually runs in your pipeline. Auth, query params, GraphQL, form bodies and nested folders made the jump too. And one bug worth naming out loud: an unrecognised assertion path used to resolve to null, so `anything.at.all == null` passed against any response, and exited 0 in CI. If your Flux pipelines have been suspiciously green, this release will start telling you the truth. Load testing and mock servers are in there too, no paid tier. Still Tauri, not Electron. Still open source. Happy to answer anything, especially about the proxy.
