Hi Product Hunt! 👋
Since 2019, Spanish law (RD-ley 8/2019) requires every company to log
its employees' working hours — and keep those records for 4 years for
labor inspections. In practice, most SMBs still do it with paper sheets
or messy spreadsheets, and panic when an inspection shows up.
The existing tools were either enterprise-priced, over-engineered, or
relied on fingerprint biometrics (which the Spanish data-protection
authority now considers problematic). I wanted something a 3-person
café or a 40-person workshop could set up in 10 minutes.
So I built fichMe: clock in from mobile, web, tablet or a PIN kiosk,
with GPS geofencing and no biometrics. Shifts, leave and vacations in
one place, and one-click legal PDF/Excel reports ready for an inspection.
What surprised me most while building it: the hard part isn't the
clock-in button — it's the edge cases (night shifts across midnight,
break deductions, corrections, timezones, the audit trail). That's
where most of the work went.
Starts at €7/mo with a 14-day free trial, no card required. I'd love
your feedback — especially on the reporting side. Happy to answer
anything! 🙏
The legal PDF exports being already formatted for Spanish labor inspections is a really thoughtful touch, saves so much manual work for HR teams.
Finally tried fichMe and the geofencing clock-in actually works well from my phone, plus the PDF export for inspections is ready in a click. Solid option if you're dealing with Spanish labor compliance headaches.
One thing that would really help our team is a quick monthly summary view that shows overtime hours and any balance discrepancies at a glance, maybe with a small alert badge if something looks off before we export the legal report. Would save me the manual check each month.
