Hi Product Hunt 👋 In my mother's house there's a box of photos. Faces from four generations — and every year, fewer people who can say who they are. Familión is what I built so those faces don't lose their names. It's a family tree, but built like a private social space rather than a genealogy research tool: every person gets a profile with their photos, dates and the stories behind them; the whole family can contribute; and yes, the family pets get profiles too — they're part of the family, so they belong on the tree. The tree also answers questions over WhatsApp or Telegram, like "when is cousin Ana's birthday?" On Telegram, the whole family can ask it together in the family group. A few honest notes: 🔒 Privacy is the design constraint. Your tree is visible only to your family. The site runs cookieless — no tracking pixels, no ad SDKs. What little we share and when is spelled out plainly in the privacy policy. 🇪🇸 It's Spanish-first — I built it for my own family — but it speaks six languages, and our English-speaking early users have turned out to be the most active of all. The demo family you can explore without signing up is in English. 🤖 Built solo, with a lot of AI. Even my marketing department, is AI-assisted — I'm one person. The demo family's photos are AI-generated (clearly a fictional family, so no real family's privacy is spent on a demo). 💶 Business model: the free tier is real and permanent — your whole family, unlimited people and invites, no ads, no data resale. Paid features are on the way as pay-as-you-go (you'll only ever pay for what you use — no subscription). The people who use it fund it. That's it.
