I built Facilist after watching my wife, a real-estate agent, walk from room to room noticing everything that needed attention before a home could be listed. She understood what needed to happen, but handing that understanding to a seller or contractor required photos, notes, and often another conversation. A photo alone wasn’t enough, and typing every detail interrupted the walkthrough.
Facilist was my attempt to make that handoff almost effortless: snap a photo, say what matters, and keep moving. Each item preserves the photo, an editable transcript, and the original voice recording in one clear list. The recipient gets a single link and doesn’t need an account.
It began with property walkthroughs, but I soon realized the same problem appears with repairs, inspections, cleaning, house sitting, event setup, and anywhere it’s easier to show and explain something than type it out.
The product evolved around one principle: creating the list should be fast, but understanding it later should be even easier.
