I’m Ryan and I founded Extra Thursday to fix the one thing that steals wayyy too much of our time: email.
Professionals spend 2–5 hours every day in their inboxes – that’s over a quarter of the workweek! I wanted to give that time back.
So I thought: what if ChatGPT actually lived inside your inbox — had super deep context of every thread — and could do anything you asked?
That’s what I built. Extra Thursday is an AI email client that lets you chat with your entire inbox, not just one email at a time.

Interesting idea. Is there an AI search feature? For example, I remember discussing a project once but can’t recall with whom… then I give the AI a rough description, and it finds the right email for me?
It's a great concept. One question - when you say "what if ChatGPT actually lived inside your inbox", do you actually use ChatGPT as the foundational model? Is there an option to change the base model such as Gemini or Claude?
The promise of 'chatting with my inbox' instead of drowning in it is exactly what I need. I spend the first hour of every day just trying to figure out who I need to reply to and what the status of everything is. The ability to ask 'Who's waiting on me?' or 'What are the open loops from last week?' would give me so much mental clarity and save so much time. I
Other softwares like this that I have tried fail with lots of emails . Can this handle a large volume ? like 24k emails ?

An inbox you can chat with feels like the next big step (for my sanity) in productivity. I love that it focuses on real work problems, not just flashy AI. The deep-context part sounds especially powerful for people juggling tons of threads daily. Would it learn your writing tone over time or does it just match it per draft?

I find the idea very much relevant, specifically if one receives lots of email on a daily basis.
What could potentially be beneficial (if not yet implemented or thought of): (1) email prioritization (let’s say I get 50 messages per day, it would be great to check-in once/twice a day with Extra Thursday so that it first informs me about the most important/urgent messages requiring my response/actions); (2) transforming this into a voice service would be amazing (instead of typing prompts, just talking to the app would bring it to a different level I suppose).
