Hello Product Hunt! 👋
I’m Vishnu, a web developer based in Paris. Like many of you, I deal with dozens of API keys, database credentials, and environment variables every day. But I always felt a bit paranoid about leaving plain-text .env files scattered across local project directories, or risking an accidental git push exposure.
Most existing secrets managers are either heavy, cloud-dependent enterprise tools or slow Electron apps. I wanted something native, incredibly fast, zero-knowledge, and fundamentally lightweight. So, I built envclo .
finally a mac native option that isn't electron bloat, the argon2 unlock feels snappy and i love that it lives in icloud instead of needing yet another account
Love the AES-GCM + Argon2 combo, feels solid for a native vault. One thing that would make this a daily driver for me is a CLI version that can inject vars into processes directly, like a wrapper around `envclo run -- npm start`, so teammates without the GUI app can still use encrypted secrets in CI and local scripts.
