Else runs real office work - spreadsheets, documents, decks - and charges per task instead of per month. Every run ends with an itemised receipt showing what that piece of work cost, and every published example links back to the run itself, so the figure is checkable rather than asserted. We also publish the per-task cost of everything we have run publicly as an open dataset.
We built Else because nobody tells you what one finished piece of work costs with an AI agent. Vendors price in credits, seats or monthly plans, and the per-task number is left for you to find out afterwards.
So Else charges per task and puts an itemised receipt at the end of every run - what was charged, and a link to replay the run.
We also publish the actual cost of every task we have run publicly, as a CSV under CC BY: elsedoes.com/ai-task-costs. It is 12 runs, all on one engine tier, and the page says so - it is a set of worked examples with real prices attached, not a distribution to generalise from.
