Why we built a WordPress Plugin for Certificate and Document Verification?
We have an Online Academy. Every Monday, an employer would email us asking whether someone really completed one of our courses. We'd search a spreadsheet and reply. It was slow, and a PDF certificate is easy to fake. The tools we found either required a big LMS (Learning Management System, the software that runs online courses) or moved our learner data onto someone else's servers for a monthly fee.
So we built a lightweight verification layer for WordPress.
Each certificate gets a unique code and QR code. Your data stays on your own site, and there are no monthly fees for the free version. People soon asked to verify staff IDs, memberships and licences too, so we added custom fields for those.
