I’ve collected thousands of local FLAC files over the years, but managing metadata was always a pain. Misspelled artist names, missing high-res cover art, ugly track01.flac filenames, and clunky CLI tools were constant headaches. Most web tools required uploading entire audio libraries to a remote server, which is a dealbreaker for large local collections.
So I built EarTea, a privacy-first, browser-based music metadata manager designed for music hoarders and audiophiles.

- Smart Audio Fingerprinting: Identifies tracks using AcoustID and MusicBrainz based on actual sound, not filename guesswork.
- Rich Metadata & Synced Lyrics: Auto-fills tags, fetches album art with size previews, and downloads line-synced .lrc lyrics.
- Audio Quality Check: Built-in spectrum analysis to spot fake FLACs transcoded from low-quality MP3s.
