Hey Product Hunt, I’m the developer behind DunyaPause.
I built it around a simple idea: what if the moment before opening a distracting app could become a deliberate pause instead of another automatic scroll?
DunyaPause is an iPhone app for Muslims. You choose the apps that tend to pull you into mindless scrolling. When DunyaPause intervenes, you can open the app, read a few ayat of Quran, and then continue with a short access window.
A few principles were important to me while building it:
• DunyaPause is completely free, no ads and no subscription.
• The Quran isn't treated as a punishment or gamified reward.
• The core experience is offline-first.
• Protected-app identities, Screen Time data and Quran content stay on the device.
• I'm deliberately not trying to maximize how much time people spend inside DunyaPause.
It's currently available for iPhone, and I'm still learning from early users.
I'd especially appreciate feedback on one thing: if you struggle with reflexively opening distracting apps, does this kind of pause feel useful enough to interrupt the habit, or does it introduce too much friction?
