Hey Product Hunt, I’m Jordy, the maker of Droppy.
Droppy started as a simple place to park files around the MacBook notch. I kept adding the things I wanted close by while working: clipboard history, window controls, search, music controls and an easier way to share files. At some point, it stopped being a notch utility and became the Mac app I open for all those small jobs throughout the day.
You can still use Droppy from the notch, but it also lives in the menu bar, its own window or a floating shelf that works on any Mac. Its 24 Droplets are optional, so you can turn on the tools that fit your setup and leave everything else off.
I care a lot about how Droppy feels. It is native, quick to open and full of small interactions that make everyday tasks a little nicer. It runs on macOS 14 or later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel.
There is a fully unlocked 3-day trial. After that, Droppy is $6.99 once for two devices, with lifetime updates.

Finally a menu bar utility that doesn't feel like a resource hog, and the notch integration is genuinely useful for quick file drops. Surprised how snappy the search is even with everything enabled.
honestly the floating shelf idea is pretty clever, I never knew how much I needed it until I tried dragging files onto it. also the notch integration feels native which is rare
