Ever catch yourself blankly staring at a loading animation while ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini generates a response? Maybe you go scroll Instagram, but accidentally waste 1 hour while the AI is already done. Drift fixes that. While your AI thinks, Drift automatically opens a separate window with your favorite scrollable feeds. Browse, catch up, stay entertained — then seamlessly return to your completed AI response. Drift is a smarter way to wait out the dead times between responses.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built Drift because I kept catching myself doing the same thing every day: staring at loading dots while waiting for AI to respond. And whenever I end up scrolling while waiting, I end up wasting even more time.
We're using these tools more and more, and those 10-30 second waits add up fast.
Drift is dead simple: it detects when ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini is generating a response and opens a separate window where you can scroll through feeds. When the AI finishes, it brings you back. That's it.
A few things I'm proud of:
- Completely local — no data leaves your browser, ever
- Works across the three major AI platforms automatically
- The return experience is seamless — you don't lose your place
I'd love your feedback on what other feeds or features would make this more useful for your workflow. This is v1 and I'm building actively.
Thanks for checking it out!
An innovative and unique concept - great job! I'm assuming you can customize the feed to whatever source you want?

Who hunted Drift?
Drift was hunted by Jerry Li. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
