Hi hunters! 👋
I built DoodleLanguage because of my 4-year-old daughter.
She loves to draw. Loves it. Pencils, crayons, iPads — if she can make a mark on it, she's happy.
Her tiger mom (my wife) wants her to learn English. But try getting a 4-year-old to sit through "listen and repeat" drills. Yeah... that didn't go well.
So I had an idea — what if she can learn English through drawing? She doodles a dog, the app says "dog". She draws a cat, it says "cat". She learns without even realizing it.
DoodleLanguage is the result. Still rough around the edges, but it works for us. Would love to hear what you think, and if your little ones enjoy it too! 🎨
honestly the drawing approach is pretty clever, my niece tried it and got excited when she doodled a cat and heard it in spanish right away. sort of wish i had this when i was learning french as a kid.
honestly this looks super cute and the doodle-based approach feels really smart. one thing that would actually help my kid though is some kind of progress tracker for parents, like a simple screen showing which words they've drawn and learned over time. would make it way easier to know if it's actually sinking in without having to quiz them every night.
