I built DoNotify after missing a time-sensitive WooCommerce order because it landed in an inbox already buried under 200 unread emails. Email and SMS are easy to snooze. A ringing phone isn't.
DoNotify is a free WordPress plugin that connects your site to a DoNotify account and calls you the moment something needs attention:
- A new order comes in, an order completes, or a payment fails (WooCommerce)
- A new appointment gets booked through WooCommerce Bookings or Amelia, with an optional reminder call before it starts
- Any custom event you define, through one developer hook: do_action('donotify_call', 'New VIP lead')
Right now it calls the account owner, meaning you. Calling customers directly, for appointment reminders or delivery updates, is next on the roadmap, along with support for more booking and form plugins like Bookly, Contact Form 7, WPForms, and Gravity Forms.
Setup takes about two minutes. Install the plugin, paste your DoNotify API token, toggle the events you care about, and send yourself a test call.

Finally hooked a phone call to a failed payment alert and the lag felt genuinely useful, not gimmicky. The one-line do_action hook for custom triggers is a nice touch for anyone running a lean WordPress stack.
Honestly the voice call idea is genius because honestly I miss half my slack notifications, but an actual ringing phone is basically impossible to ignore. Set it up for new woocommerce orders and it worked first try.
Finally set it up for a failed payment alert and it actually rang my phone within seconds, which is way more useful than another email I would have missed. Loving the simple do_action hook for custom triggers too.
