If you aren't in the trucking industry, you might not know this: truck drivers regularly wait 4 to 8 hours at warehouses to get unloaded. They are supposed to be paid 'detention' for this time, but because they track it with handwritten notes on paper, freight brokers dispute the times and refuse to pay. In 2023, this cost small carriers over $15 Billion.
I built DockPay to fix the power imbalance.
⏱️ How it works:
A driver logs into our mobile web app and taps "Check In" at the dock.
The app locks the GPS location and starts a timer.
When unloaded, the driver snaps a photo of the paperwork.
DockPay auto-calculates the billable hours, generates a PDF invoice with timestamped proof, and emails the broker instantly.
Enterprise trucking fleets have $10,000 software to do this. We built it for the 1-to-5 truck owner-operators so they can fight back for $29/month.
