Direbase
Check if AI search can actually read and cite your site
Most "AI SEO" tools just parse robots.txt. Direbase requests your page with the real crawler user-agents (OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Claude-SearchBot) to catch WAF blocks you can't see in a browser. It also flags content that only exists after JavaScript runs — Googlebot renders JS, AI crawlers don't. Then it scores direct answers, structured data and E-E-A-T, and generates the fix code. Free, no signup.
I build and run websites for clients, and last year I kept hitting the same wall: a site would look fine in Search Console, rank fine, and still never come up when I asked ChatGPT or Perplexity about the topic.
Most "AI SEO" tools I tried just parsed robots.txt and called it a day. That misses the case that actually bit me — robots.txt says Allow, but Cloudflare returns 403 to the crawler. The owner never notices, because the page loads fine in their own browser.
So Direbase requests your page with the real crawler user-agents and reports what they actually get back. It also flags the other silent one: content that only exists after JavaScript runs. Googlebot renders JS. AI search crawlers don't, so a client-side-rendered page looks empty to them.
On top of that it scores the things that decide whether you get quoted — a direct answer up top, question headings, tables, structured data, author and entity signals — and generates the code to fix what's missing.
One thing I deliberately didn't do: invent a proprietary "authority score". The SEO side is built on Google's published guidance, because a number you can't act on isn't worth much.
It's free with no signup for the first few checks. I'd genuinely like to know what it reports for your site — especially if it turns up a 403 you didn't know about.

Direbase was hunted by masakazu_imai. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
