Over 9+ years have built the labeling, calibration, and validation tools that robotics and self-driving teams use to get data ready for training. Along the way we catalogued hundreds of thousands of datasets and watched the same thing happen over and over: a team pays to collect data that already exists somewhere else, and the owner of that data has no safe way to sell it.
Refinery is the fix. Owners list data on their own terms, can block named competitors, stay anonymous if they want, and get paid per sale. Buyers see samples, license terms, and validation results before committing. Every listing is scored by our Curate engine before it goes live.
One rule: we do not train foundation models, and our own data sits in the same queue as everyone else's.
