Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Alex. I'm a French solo founder building from Norway. I started going to the gym about 5 years ago. For a long time, I thought I was just inconsistent. I'd have great weeks where I felt strong and motivated, and then these stretches where getting to the gym felt physically impossible. Depression, exhaustion, brain fog. I'd force myself through sessions my body wasn't ready for, or skip and feel guilty about it. People around me didn't help. My ex used to tell me to "just go to the gym" when I was cramping and barely functional, like what I was feeling wasn't real. For years I thought the problem was me. That I lacked discipline. Then I got diagnosed with PMDD. Suddenly it clicked. Those "bad weeks" weren't failure. They were biology. My body was going through something real, and nothing in my fitness routine acknowledged it. Not my gym app, not my tracker, not a single workout plan I'd ever tried. I started researching how hormones affect training and found a massive gap. Most fitness apps treat women's bodies like smaller men. The few that address cycles are built for elite athletes or stop at "it's your luteal phase, maybe do yoga." Nobody was building for the everyday woman who goes to the gym, deals with PMDD or PCOS or endometriosis, and just wants to know: should I push today, or does my body need something different? So I made Cycla. It has a 3-layer adaptation engine: → Phase-based defaults grounded in research → Condition modifiers for PCOS, endometriosis, perimenopause, thyroid, iron deficiency, and more → Daily check-in overrides: 3 taps, 15 seconds, your entire workout changes based on how you actually feel The part I'm most proud of: after 2-3 cycles, Cycla learns YOUR patterns. If you're consistently strong in luteal (some people are, the opposite of the textbook), it stops suggesting lighter sessions. It adapts to you, not a population average. I also built something I wish I'd had during all those years of guilt: when the app suggests rest, it explains what's happening in your body. Muscle protein synthesis, hormonal recalibration, CNS recovery. Rest isn't a consolation prize. It's progress. Currently in beta on TestFlight. Every sprint is shaped by real gym sessions and real feedback. Would love your feedback. And if you've ever felt like your body was working against your fitness goals, this is for you.

Fantastic idea! Hormones play such a key role in our day-to-day life. Speaking from personal experience (having both PCOS and Hashimoto thyroid), I am really looking forward to test it on myself and see how I can improve my workout regimen.

Does the app use any sensor data to learn or is it how the user feels? I have a friend going through perimenopause. I'll send her the info.
