Hey Product Hunt 👋

I'm Gabriel, CEO and co-founder of Creem.

We picked today on purpose. September 17 is Creem's founding anniversary, so shipping Creem 2.0 on the same day felt right.

The thesis in three lines:

  1. Building a product went from months to a weekend. Getting paid for it did not.

  2. As AI collapses the cost of building, the winners are the ones who monetize and grow fastest, not the ones who code fastest.

  3. So we took the merchant of record and turned it into a full commerce surface: checkout on your own domain, billing built for the AI era, flexible affiliates, short links, and a CLI your agent can drive to set up, run and monitor your store end to end.

Build with AI. Sell with Creem. We are the seller of record, so we handle payments, taxes and payouts across 190+ countries, and you only pay when you earn (3.9% + 40c, no monthly fees).

The part I am most excited about: billing that finally fits the AI era. Credit wallets, usage based pricing, custom meters, no 30 pages of docs. Your agent sets it up in a prompt and keeps running and monitoring the store after. You built it in a weekend; charging for it should feel like a weekend too.

And we are going all in: today we are also announcing that we raised €5M to build the next generation financial OS for the lean, modern teams building with AI. This launch is what that money is going toward.

To celebrate, we have a launch day gift. Sign up and complete onboarding today and redeem the code CREEMPHBIRTHDAY (live only today): your first $10,000 in volume is processed with 0% fees, and you get 0% fees on affiliates for life. Finish onboarding today to lock it in, approval can come after.

Zooming out for a second: we believe companies will start looking more like a code repository instead of an org-chart with a payroll, so our mission is to let lean teams of humans and AI agents do business globally, so anyone with an idea can sell and grow from day one. Creem 2.0 is the first real proof of that, agents doing actual business, not just writing code. The raise is so we can go all the way with it.

I'll be here all day. Ask me anything: the merchant of record model, pricing, what actually shipped in 2.0, or where we are taking it next. Real questions and hard feedback both welcome, that is how the last two launches made us better.

Comment highlights

#1 well deserved 🥇 getting paid is still the messiest part of shipping ai stuff. usage billing was the missing peice for me, whats the typical take rate?

Huge congrats on the launch of 2.0! I made a huge effort to push my product over the line and go live on the same day as you, just to try and qualify for your CREEMPHBIRTHDAY offer, only to have the third party verification extend beyond your time limit and then for the offer to fade away... How disappointing!

@sudoferraz Nice! I'm building on Convex, any integration there or am I wiring webhooks by hand?

Super cool :). Waiting for Creem Atlas, for agent-based Delaware company creation + Creem Treasury for banking :)

Usage-based billing plus global tax handling in one platform is the hard combo to get right - most "merchant of record" tools I've looked at handle VAT/sales tax fine for flat subscriptions but get messy once you add metered/usage pricing on top, since the tax event and the billing event happen at different times. Does Creem calculate tax at time of usage accrual or at invoice time, and does that change per jurisdiction

Love this!! @sudoferraz Indie hackers and builders now have a solid product to rely on and kickstart their businesses. People keep pointing out the same thing: Creem's product is great, but the customer support is also next level.

That's what the biggest brands get right. How you treat customers when they need you.

Keep up the good work, team Creem!

Very cool. Do the short links do QR codes? I sell at in-person events sometimes and just want to slap a QR on a table.

Interesting , What's one thing most unique about creem? that's you are proud of !

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 Nelery here, Founder’s Associate at CREEM 🍦

I support our CEO & Founder Gabriel, work across hiring and take care of all sorts of things happening behind the scenes to keep good vibes and everything moving.

That also means I get a front-row seat to the people building CREEM every day and it’s been pretty amazing to watch 2.0 come together. Very proud of our team and everything that went into getting us here.

There’s a lot in 2.0, but what I love is how much of it simply makes life easier for the people using CREEM. You can now run checkout on your own domain, charge customers based on usage and even keep an eye on your store from your phone.

And for growing teams, we launched our new Partner plan so CREEM can essentially become an extension of your team and take more of the payments work off your plate.

Excited to hear what you think! 🍦

I’ve been using Creem for the past few days and honestly, I love it. The whole setup and payment flow feels incredibly simple and smooth, which is exactly what I want when launching a new product. Really impressed with how easy everything is so far. Hope Creem keeps growing — you guys are building something great!

Congratulations with the launch on Product Hunt! Question > how you differs from Stripe and why should SME start using Creem?

Creem was already great, but these improvements make it even better! Usage based billing seems especially useful. I'll have to try this with a future product.

Really glad I chose Creem for my desktop apps, after considering a bunch of Merchant of Record providers. Will use it for my next SaaS as well.

Hey, I'm Kuldar, design engineer at Creem. 👋

Payments products tend to grow feature by feature until they feel like five tools wearing one logo - 2.0 was our chance to fix that. The dashboard, the site and everything in between now run on one design system, built this summer, and it changes how the product feels more than any single feature does.

Concretely: every list opens into the same kind of detail panel, every chart reads the same way, test mode is one unmissable bar across the top, and important information has been brought out front and center. Nothing to relearn when you move from products to payouts to affiliates.

What I'm most excited about is what that unlocks. When the whole surface is consistent, new pieces like usage meters and short links land as native screens, not add-ons. That's how 2.0 shipped so much without feeling bigger.

If anything in the product feels inconsistent or out of place, that's exactly what I want to hear. Feel free to ping me here.

Do you take on businesses from Azerbaijan and manage VAT/tax collection and compliance across regions? What integrations do you have today also with Zapier, Make, or n8n? I'm mostly interested in the workflow/automation features that exist today.

Hope investments will help Creem team to improve most valuable features for bootstrapped founders!
