Couples Relief sprang from an idea for connection without relying on typical digital channels. Taking ownership over encryption and having control of the data within a completely private digital space for intimate interactions. What started as a private web application evolved into a full-blown iOS app with the hope that other couples would find value in the unique features developed to enrich relationships.
The app encrypts everything with a key derived from a code only you and your partner share. Your notes, photos, moods, interactions, quiz answers, even your nicknames and emails, are all converted to cipher-text. Only you and your partner can decrypt your own content.

The encryption angle actually matters here, feels different from those shared albums that end up everywhere. The mood tracker is a nice touch my partner and I would probably use without overthinking it.
A shared calendar or countdown for date nights and anniversaries would be a sweet addition. Even something simple like marking "last intimate moment" trends over time could help couples notice patterns and communicate better about what they want. Also helpful: an optional export feature so you have a backup of your shared memories outside the app, just in case.
Finally an app that feels like it actually keeps things between us two, the mood tracking quietly became our favorite little ritual.
