This looks really handy for rhythm practice. One thing I'd love is the ability to set a custom tempo or tap along to a backing track instead of just running on its own beat. That way you could test how steady you are when playing with an actual song or metronome pattern.

Tried it for a couple minutes and was surprised how the timing graph instantly showed where my taps were drifting off beat, really helpful for working on consistency.

honestly love how clean the timing readout looks, no clutter getting in the way of just seeing your accuracy. really solid execution for a free tool

Tried it for a few minutes and honestly the timing feedback is super clear. Kind of wish i had this when i first started messing around with a metronome.

Tried it on my phone and the timing feedback was surprisingly smooth. Wish it had a couple of preset tempo goals to work toward, but solid little practice tool.

One thing that would make this way more useful for me is being able to hear a reference click track at different tempos so I can practice locking in against it. Right now I can measure my taps but I have nothing to actually tap along with. Adding an optional built-in metronome with adjustable BPM would turn this from a measurement tool into a real practice tool.

Hi! I'm Salsa, a software engineer who has always wanted to learn the drums, and recently I finally started practicing!

One thing I kept wondering was whether I was actually counting the beats correctly. I could use a metronome, but I had no simple way to measure how consistent my counting really was.

So I built Counting Beat (countingbeat.com), a free tool that measures the timing between your taps and helps you see how accurate and consistent your beat counting is. It started as something I built for myself, but I thought it might help other beginners and musicians too.

Whether you're learning drums, another instrument, or just practicing rhythm, I'd love for you to give it a try.

I'd really appreciate any feedback or feature suggestions. Thanks for checking it out! :)
