Contra is where it is today due to the 40+ independents we work with every month (discovered, hired, and managed through Contra, of course). It wasn’t always easy to source talent, manage our network, process global payments, generate and store contracts and invoices, handle tax and compliance and have visibility across how and who our team was hiring, but today this has changed.
Contra for Companies has unlocked the ability for our team to scale, and now other teams can achieve the same. Without our independent workforce, we wouldn’t have all of our landing pages, 24hr support coverage, social media content and engagement, marketing assets, blog articles, and so much more!
Using Contra has personally saved me a tremendous amount of time and many headaches. The efficiencies of using Contra has given me more time to focus on other areas of the business. I know I am not the only person that feels this way on our team.

Congratulations on the launch! How many freelancers do I need to have to realize the value of your product?
When I was pitched the vision for Contra for the first time, I was hooked -- it was exactly the product I would want to use myself as a long-time freelancer. It's surreal to look back on the last 3 years since our first launch and see how that vision has been made reality. We've come so far and learned so much from our community of over 700k independents and over 20k clients strong. We've built global payments, proposal and invoicing tools, and the best way to showcase and discover independent talent -- just to name a few. So...what's next? 👇
Today, we're introducing Contra for Companies, the next chapter in Contra's story, where we've reimagined how clients hire and manage their network of independents to scale their flexible teams. As we've scaled Contra, we've seen firsthand how challenging it is to manage flexible talent, and took it upon ourselves to build the product we'd want to use -- and we do! We partnered with some aspirational companies to get early feedback on the product, and have spent the last while polishing it for you all today.
