Hi Product Hunt 👋 I built ConMapper to make game controllers useful beyond games on the Mac. ConMapper lets you: • Map buttons to keyboard and media keys • Trigger mouse actions or control the cursor with gyro • Run Shortcuts and launch apps • Create app-specific profiles and custom layers • Build multi-step action sequences It’s available now on the Mac App Store with a free version and an optional Pro upgrade. Version 1.5.0 just added action sequences and system keyboard layout support. I’d especially love feedback on controller compatibility and the workflows you would build with it. What would you map first?

Comment highlights

finally something that handles single joy-cons on mac without a fuss, layered mappings are super handy for switching between work and play profiles

Mapping feels pretty solid already, but one thing that would make it even better is a quick on-screen overlay that pops up briefly when a layer switches. Something simple like a small corner notification showing the active layer name for a second or two would save a lot of guesswork when juggling profiles.
