Hi, I'm Michael, the maker of ClipHutch.
ClipHutch is for people collecting supported videos and still images from pages they can already access. Save one item with Quick Capture, or gather selected media across tabs in the Hutch, review the pack, and save it into organized folders with a redacted source manifest.
For a quick test: install the Chrome extension, reload a page with a video you have permission to save, play it, then open ClipHutch from the toolbar and download a supported detected item. One workflow I've tested is saving a video with sound from my own Squarespace asset library.
The free tier includes all features and 4 video downloads per rolling 24 hours. Still-image saves don't use that allowance. A $35 one-time license removes the video limit on up to 5 browser installations.
Supported HLS/DASH processing happens in the browser without a companion app. YouTube, DRM and live streams are unsupported, and compatibility varies by site. The free tier contacts no ClipHutch server; paid installations contact our license service for activation and periodic validation.
I'd welcome feedback on the sites and workflows where this is useful, especially saving your own media during a site rebuild or collecting research materials. If something fails, a public example and what you expected to save would help.
