we tried handling compliance manually for a product going into EU + US markets last year — it was a nightmare. different certification bodies, conflicting labeling rules, customs docs that changed month to month. ended up hiring a consultant just to get through it. if MARIA can actually map all that automatically and have legal experts verify the output (not just raw LLM outputs), that's genuinely useful. curious whether it handles the dynamic stuff too, like when regs update mid-cycle — does it alert you or do you have to re-run the scan?
AI has made the world a lot more convenient, but the standards set by governments around the world vary so much that when you try to do something outside of your computer, it's a completely different world (nothing has changed since the days before AI), so this is exactly the kind of feature I wanted! Cross-border compliance is one of those silent deal-killers in international transactions. In my work structuring renewable energy deals across multiple jurisdictions, regulatory mapping is always the most time-consuming part of due diligence.
