CleanSlate pulls your credit card balances, due dates, and payment history from every card into one place, so you're not logging into a separate banking app for each one. It also tracks balance history over time, so you can actually watch the progress you're making paying things down. Most finance apps treat credit cards as an afterthought buried in a bigger dashboard. This one's built entirely around them.
What inspired it: I was opening multiple banking apps just to keep track of my aggregate balance and history myself, doing the math each time. It felt like something that should be automated.
The problem I was trying to solve: seeing all my credit card details in one aggregated view. Current balance, transactions, history, all of it, instead of piecing it together across separate apps.
The process evolved a lot through iteration. I had friends and family testing it along the way, and at one point I ended up redoing the app and API from scratch because I knew it could be better than what I'd originally built.
