Choral is a floating macOS music remote that brings desktop apps and web players into one consistent control. Play, pause, skip, seek, like, shuffle, repeat, view lyrics, use global shortcuts, and scrobble to Last.fm without constantly switching windows. It works with Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, Amazon Music, and many more services through Choral Connector. Available controls adapt to each service.
Hi Product Hunt!
I built Choral because listening to music on a Mac had become fragmented. Apple Music and Spotify live in desktop apps, while YouTube Music, SoundCloud, and many other services live in browser tabs. Even a simple action often meant finding the right window first.
Choral turns them into one floating remote. The Mac app provides a consistent interface, global shortcuts, lyrics, Last.fm sync, and native-player control. Choral Connector bridges supported web players while requesting access only for the websites users choose to enable.
The hardest part was making very different music services feel consistent without pretending that every service supports the same controls. Choral adapts its available controls to the selected source and keeps the overall experience predictable.
This is Choral's first public release. I would especially value feedback on the setup experience, supported music services, and the floating player itself.
Thanks for taking a look!
Love this idea. Bringing scattered music apps and browser tabs into one consistent floating remote feels genuinely useful and very Mac-native.
