What inspired you to build this? For me, this started as a personal pain point. My parents went through a tough estate division where family members stopped talking to each other. I grew up not knowing some extended family because of it. That always stuck with me. It felt like something that could have been avoided. My co-founder, Mark, was seeing the same thing from the professional side as a financial advisor. Plans looked clear on paper, but when it came time to actually divide the assets, things broke down. A trust or will might say “split evenly,” but that doesn’t answer the real question. How do you actually divide a mix of assets — property, businesses, brokerage accounts, and heirlooms — in a way that holds up? There wasn’t a real answer to that. So we built one — a patent-pending algorithm designed to handle that exact problem.
